Daily Itinerary
Wednesday: Arrive at the beautiful village of Fafleralp, where the Alpine Azure Team will meet you. Kick off and brief orientation before we start our guided hike to the Anenhütte. After arriving at the hut, get settled, enjoy a traditional dinner and close with our evening discussion.
Thursday: Wake up early for meditation and reflection amidst the views of the Lötschental. After breakfast we enjoy a walk in the nearby landscape. Back to the hut for lunch, then the afternoon includes guided group discussions, followed by open time before dinner. Evening includes meditation and close with our evening discussion.
Friday: Another beautiful morning for meditation outside, then morning group discussion and activities. After lunch we meet our mountain guide and prepare for our training exercise on the snow or glacier, preparing us for a great peak day. Open time before dinner, evening meditation and early to bedd before Peak Day.
Saturday: Wake up super early for Peak Day, where our aim is a nearby destination that helps us grow and stretch out of our comfort zone. We hike and eventually rope together for our trek on the glacier. Expect to be gone all day and then back to the hut by late afternoon, and maybe a dip in a lake. Evening includes dinner and discussion about your Peak Day experience and learnings.
Sunday: Your final day for morning meditation and group breakfast together. We close the program at Anenhütte before hiking back down to Fafleralp. Picnic lunch along the hike as we enjoy our final moments together in this beautiful place. We may adjust specific activities based on the weather.
What to Expect
A unique 5-day mountain experience in the Swiss Alps: A retreat experience designed to move you into your growth zone while exploring the alpine environment. Expect to be challenged holistically in a small, supportive environment.
Personal development coaching: Deepen your personal awareness and sense of purpose with daily group coaching, discussions and activities. Practical exercises from coaching, positive psychology and embodiment training will support you to explore what matters most to you and in which direction you want your life to go.
Introduction to Mountaineering and Glacier trekking: Ready for some fun? Learn to walk in crampons and travel on a glacier in a roped team. Work as a team to reach a peak. Gain confidence with new outdoor skills that will stay with you for future adventures. No previous experience is needed, just a sense of curiosity to try something new.
Experienced leaders: Our leaders bring their expertise from their years of diverse experience and their enthusiasm for the outdoors. Also accompanied by a certified mountain guide, their combined experiences are leveraged to build your confidence and sense of courage.
A licensed mountain guide for our time on the glacier: Your safety is our top priority. Our experienced guide will lead the climb on our peak day experience. But even before that, she will guide you through an introductory safety training to teach the mountaineering basics you’ll need to do the trek safely.
A chance to disconnect from the day to day and invest in YOU: Feel yourself come alive as you experience the restorative beauty of nature and the wonder of a glacier up close. Take this time for you to pause from your busy routine, gain new perspective and bring out the best in yourself.
Daily reflection & meditation: We start and finish each day with meditation practices, enabling calm and centeredness, and helping you reconnect with and nurture your best self.
Environment: Explore and observe this unique mountain environment with a sense of curiosity and learn from our mountaineering guide about changes in the high alpine ecosystem.
Traditional mountain accommodations: Part of the alpine experience is staying in a Swiss mountain hut. We stay in the beautiful Anenhütte. Meals prepared daily at the huts include local specialties. Vegetarian options are available.
Small, intimate group size: We intentionally keep the group small to create a trusting and supportive environment that enables reflection, connection and growing together. Max 14 participants, 2 leaders and mountain guide.

COVID-19
Alpine Azure will comply with all federal and local regulations. Due to the dynamic nature of the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting impact on policy, we must accept that we live at a time during which what applies today may longer apply tomorrow. As a result, we are currently unable to confirm absolutely that the program will not be affected by COVID-19 nor are we able to provide definitive information on the protective measures that will apply during the event. We will remain closely informed and will adapt our program policy as needed according to regulations. We will inform all participants of the respective protective measures one month in advance of the event.
Note: Depending on the federal situation and recommendation regarding Covid-19, we might decide to ask our clients to provide a negative PCR test not older than 3 days before arrival. In that case, we would also require all participants to follow all COVID 19 protocols for 14 days prior to the program and while traveling including physically distancing, wearing a mask inside and when distancing is not possible and frequent handwashing.
